Feeding Your Neighbors

Starting at the height of the pandemic….

Brattleboro Winter Faramers’ Market and host Post Oil Solutions jumped in to help feed our neighbors in need. We secured a few small grants, along with generous donations from our market community and used it to put more locally produced foods on those family tables. If you shopped during our Curbside endeavor you may even recall those Pay-It-Forward Pumpkins! Following that season, we were able to continue this much needed “boost” with substantial support from the Vermont Foodbank’s Capactiy Grant. But that funding is ending, so with an eye to next season, we are turning to our community se we can keep this vital program going next year.

Your tax deductible donation of $220 will extend the food budget of one family for the entire 2025/26 market season putting healthier local fruit, veggies, meats, eggs, preserves, breads and more on the tables of your neighbors. With these funds, we match $10 in SNAP benefits (what has traditionally been known as food stamps, or more recently as EBT) with $10 of Boost Your Bread coupons every week. Currently we are serving on average 60 families each week with new families learning about this benefit each week.
